Surprise!

Today, it was announced that Brett Connolly and Sean Couturier would indeed be staying in the NHL for the rest of the season. Couturier didn't surprise me, but Connolly did. I thought he would take another year in junior and at least one in the AHL. He has been a plus player and I am projecting him to get about 45 points. That's my guess, and hopefully injuries won't take him down like they did his draft year. As for Couturier, I am looking for about 40 points out of him. I also expect a big season out of Couturier, about 60 points I'm guessing

Dream Team 1

Hey!I'm introducing a new segment called Dream Team.I'm going to create a team with NHL players and will make it realistic by creating a 60 million cap and 37 million cap floor.Heres the 1st edition.I cannot use players twice

RW. C. LW

1.Martin St.Louis 5.8M 1.Sidney Crosby 8.7M 1.Daniel Sedin 4.8M
2.Nathan Horton 4.1M 2.David Krejci 2.6M 2.Nick Foligno 1.2M
3.Tyler Kennedy 2.1M 3.Zack Smith 750K 3.Colin Greening 900k
4.Max Talbot 1.0M 4.Tyler Bozak 1.3M 4.Derek Dorsett 600k

D
1. Shea Weber 4.9 M 2.Nicklas Lidstrom 5.7 M
3.Marc Staal 3.9M 4.Andrew MacDonald 780K
5.Nicklas Kronwall 2.1M 6.Kevin Shattenkirk 1.3M

G
1.Pekka Rinne 3.2M
2.James Reimer 1.8M
3.Alexander Salak 600K

My total payroll was $58.13 million. I was right up at the cap. This team is offensive with some grinders towards the bottom of the depth chart. The defense corps have offense with responsible players in their own end. The goaltenders are effective through the whole depth chart with Salak ready if all else fails.
